Eco Club
An academic Function was organized in the college Auditorium. College principal Dr. Lalita Chandan presided over the function. Around 50 students took part in various activities like Environment Quiz, Declamation contest and Poster making on the themes like soil pollution, scope of non renewable energy in H P, and global warming. An expert talk was also given by Dr. Priya Verma who apprised the students of different aspects of general health and environment. She focused her interaction with students on communicable diseases and our role to prevent these deadly infections by keeping our environment clean. Thereafter a declamation contest on the topics Global Warming and Scope of renewable energy in H.P. was held.
Students spoke frankly on these issues and were adjudged by teachers for first three prizes. Around 25 students took part in poster making competition and made beautiful posters on different environmental issues. A quiz contest was the main attraction in which the whole audience was spell bound and very interesting questions were asked by the quizmaster Dr.Shweta Sharma.
The posters were displayed in the gallery and were seen by the worthy principal and students and finally adjudged by the judges Dr. Himani Saxena and Prof. Ajit Thakur. The chief guest Dr. Lalita Chandan admired the students for their keen interest in environmental Issues. She praised the students and teachers for organizing such activities in the college so that students are well informed in environmental issues. In the end prizes were given to the students who stood first, second and third in the various competitions. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Bhagwati Charan, convenor of Eco Club.
