Govt. Degree College, Theog

Women Cell aims to empower the students to face challenges of life. The College has established a Women Cell in the college campus for the women faculty, staff and girl students to enhance understanding of issues related to women students and to make the college campus a safe place for them. It provides a platform to the young women of the college to voice their thoughts and opinions related to the issues of women in our society. The students are made aware of their social and legal rights and are also sensitized to realize their gender roles.

Objectives

• To empower the girl students and women faculty of the college.
• To enhance the self-esteem and self-confidence of women students, faculty and staff in the college to make them self-dependent and self-reliant.
• To promote intellectual and cultural activities for overall personality development of the students.
• To make the girls aware of gender equality issues.
• To develop the critical thinking of women students such that it enhances decision-making ability.
• To enable women to make informed choices in areas like education, employment and health especially reproductive health.
• To help in creating awareness about important issues related to women
