Seminar on Career Opportunities in Commerce: Department organised a seminar on career opportunities in commerce on 15th September, 2022. Dr. Mahesh Chandan, Assoc. Prof. (retd.) was the special guest for this seminar. The session was very informative and helpful for the students. At the end of the talk various doubts of students were cleared under question-and-answer session.
Create Wealth through Smart Investment: The stock market offers excellent investment opportunities where the money invested earns a good return either in form of capital appreciation or regular income from dividends. Stocks are preferably purchased for investment purposes when their prices are low so that they produce relatively high profits through dividends. An investment strategy is what guides an investor’s decisions based on goals, risk tolerance, and future needs for capital. Some investment strategies seek rapid growth where an investor focuses on capital appreciation, or they can follow a low-risk strategy where the focus is on wealth protection. The Department of Commerce organized a workshop on stock market operations in the conference Room on 8the September, 2022. The resource person of the programme, Dr. Mahesh Chandan, Assoc. Prof. (retd.) discussed about the topic “create wealth through smart investment”. All the students of B.Com participated in the workshop.
Peer-to-peer learning: It is a mutual learning and training strategy that involves participants of the same level engaging in collaborative learning. Simply put, peer-to-peer learning is when one or more learners teach other learners. It is regular feature of commerce department to encourage peer to peer learning for this department organises special classes during the session.
